Building water-efficient neighbourhoods of the future together.
The demand for sustainable and future-proof residential areas is growing. Water plays an increasingly important role in this. By using water more intelligently, we can not only save but also recover value. Based on this vision, Bouwtafel Waterzuinige Wijken is working on innovative solutions for water-efficient districts.
As a partner of Building Table Water-Efficient Neighbourhoods, Desah will attend the launch of the manifesto calling for action to accelerate sustainable water use in new and existing homes.
Decentralised solutions as key
An important part of this development is the local treatment and reuse of wastewater. Separating water flows at source and treating them decentrally creates a system that:
- water saving
- energy recovery
- recycled raw materials
This fits perfectly with Desah's vision: sustainable, circular solutions that contribute to self-sufficient and future-proof living environments.
From ambition to practice
In more and more projects, we see that water is no longer a closing item, but an integral part of area development. Thinking about water early in the design process creates new opportunities for circular systems and smart infrastructure.
Cooperation between knowledge institutions, governments and technology partners plays a crucial role in this. Only together can we move from ambition to scalable solutions.
