As Head of Business Office You are responsible for leading, coordinating and optimising the work preparation and planning processes. You ensure predictable, achievable and efficient production planning and are the connecting link between business office, production, procurement and the MT. You lead a team of about five employees and report to the Manager Operations.

Your assignment

  • Organisation & Alignment
  • You will organise work within the business office and ensure clear priorities.
  • You analyse KPIs, report on them and make adjustments where necessary.
  • You represent the business office in consultations with other departments and inform the MT on progress and risks.
  • Work preparation & planning
  • You develop and secure standard procedures for work preparation and planning.
  • You will ensure correct and timely work preparation and production planning.
  • You will develop strategies for predictable and efficient planning and support make-or-buy decisions.
  • You promote digitisation and optimise the use of the ERP system.
  • Leadership & Development
  • You lead the team and encourage professional and personal growth.
  • You organise processes and working methods so that targets and planning are achievable.
  • You monitor budgets and conduct performance and appraisal interviews.
  • Continuous improvement
  • You identify improvement opportunities and lead projects aimed at efficiency, reliability and process optimisation.
  • You promote a culture of standardisation and continuous improvement.
  • Safety & Quality
  • You oversee compliance with safety, health & safety, environmental and quality regulations.
  • You monitor order and cleanliness and intervene in case of unsafe situations.

Your profile

  • HBO working and thinking level.
  • Experience in work preparation, planning and production processes.
  • Knowledge of planning methodologies, ERP systems and production techniques.
  • Leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Analytical ability, process-oriented thinking and a proactive attitude.
  • Good command of the English language.
